We had visitors and quite a show yesterday noon from the dining room window when this mother Pine Squirrel brought her three kids by.  with wild energy they mimicked every move she made.  Up and down this cottonwood tree and around and through branches and on to the next tree.

  1. Its amazing you were able to capture them all together. I find the squirrels here spin around the tree so fast that I usually capture the tip of the tail unless one stops and looks at me. Hugs!

  2. I am wondering if a pine squirrel is similar to our red squirrels here in Scotland. They are having a hard time trying to survive due to the grey squirrels taking over much of the UK.

  3. They are probably a little smaller but I think similar, Caroline. So far we have no gray squirrels in this area but they have moved into central Wyoming about 200 miles distance. I don't know if our elevation would hinder their movement into the high country.
